Sheila was kind enough to share some pictures from her archives.  They are Missouri River pictures.  Pictures of Dr. Trail's studies on the positive side and the sad devastation when the river overflowed it's banks and came into town.

Confused about the Dan Haids?  Sheila was kind enough to explain them.  There was Daniel Haid, Senior - the first one in the Berger area.  Then Daniel Haid Junior, who built the mansion in Berger. After that, they started using middle names.  Sheila's grandfather was Daniel Webster Haid, her father Daniel Virgil Haid aka Junior, her brother is Daniel Charles Haid, Daniel Patrick Haid is Sheila's nephew, and her great nephew is Daniel Henry Haid.  Lloyd Haid is Daniel Webster Haid's brother if I have it right.  

So if I referred to Daniel Haid III anywhere, it is an error.
